Dynamic IP Support

Dynamic IP Support

We are aware that there are a number of potential customers who get a dynamic IP from their ISP. While we can support this in certain circumstances (for example, if the customer has a Dynamic DNS configuration on their router), we generally only support the use of static IPs.

We are currently working on an agent that will allow dynamic IP support, but it’s in early development phase and will require significant validation before we make it generally available.

If you already have Dynamic DNS configuration that can bootstrap without the need to use DNS (or Dynamic DNS runs on your router and you’ll hand out our DNS servers using DHCP), we will just need to know your Dynamic DNS FQDN instead of your IP address.
