Umbra Security Appliances can be configured to provide services pretty much anywhere in your network. Most commonly, they sit at the edge but they can be installed transparently in an existing network to give advanced features without tearing it all down.
Umbra Security Appliances are available in small-form-factor desktop units, or rack-mounted systems, depending on where you’re installing and what kind of redundancy you need. If you’re not sure what you need, or you’re looking to upgrade or replace an existing system or even just an individual router, get in touch and we’ll help.
The most common configuration of these appliances is as an edge device, providing firewall, routing, NAT and packet filtering. We can also configure the devices as transparent gateways to protect other equipment, or as internal L3 routers, L2 bridges or wireless access controllers.
Every appliance comes with our Umbra security software and can be remotely managed and maintained by us, or provided with documentation and handover training for maintenance by your internal IT team.
